iHerb favoritter

Her er mine olje favoritter fra iHerb.com.

OLJER
Druekjerneolje fra Aura Cacia. Denne har jeg brukt både i ansikt og kropp. Lukter ingenting og trekker raskt inn i huden.

Tamanuolje.

Nature's Alchemy Rosemarin essential oil.

English

I am not the only one who loves this online store!

I live in Norway and things can be quite expensive here. Well not really since we have good salary compared to the prices and so on. But it is nice to save money and try something new.

iHerb is defiantly one of my favorite stores. I have bought lots of fun stuff from here. I know a lot of other norwegians using this site. iHerb is a company in USA that sells everything from skin care, groceries, hair care to vitamins.

Their prices are good and the selection is massive! I have mostly bough beauty products and some groceries. Most of their products are organic, GMO free, no animal testing. They have a wide selection for allergies such as dairy free, gluten free, nut free and so on.

They have excellent costumer service, I never had a problem with them. It is also really easy to order. I often look at all their products and put all the interesting things in my wish list. Its really handy to have a wish list when you want to save products for the next shopping round.

The shipping rates are sometimes changed, but all in all they are fairly low if you watch the weight. They also have 20% off some selected brands every wednesday, so keep an eye on those for a good deal!

Beauty tip!

I do not like to waste money or products. I also do not like to produce a lot of trash, I like the environment. So I have a little tip fro you, it might be old or well known but I want to share it just in case.

Instead of using a cotton pad to remove makeup or put on toner, buy reusable cotton pads! I found mine on ebay and they are actually reusable nursing pads, haha. I got a pack with 12 pads, so I use 6 of them and then wash them in a washing net while I use the other 6. By doing this I always have clean ones. I have been doing this for a while and they are still as good as new. I don't even have to wash them with whites.

Here is the seller I used on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271564478417?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

If you do a quick google search you find many ways to make them yourself and other pages to order from.

Do you have any smart beauty tips?

Review Linda Johansen Microfiber gloves

After reading about people using microfiber cloths to wash their face and even take off make up, I needed to try it myself.

I found a Norwegian brand, so I did not have to order from abroad and wait forever.

I got the Linda Johansen Microfiber cloths. There is one large glove and two small gloves. These are said to gentle exfoliate skin and remove makeup with just water, how nice is that?

After using them daily for two weeks I must say I really like them. It is soft and gentle, my skin feels so soft afterwards. And for removing make up it really does work with just water! I really hate to take off my makeup at night and often just avoid makeup as much as possible. I also hate makeup wipes, they sting my eyes and skin and just makes me red. But these are so gentle, no need to rub over and over again to remove mascara. Which is good since the eye area is so sensitive.

I use one side each time so that I use the glove two times before washing them. The large glove is nice to use in the shower. You can hand wash them with some soap or throw them in the washer up to 60 degrees.

I highly recommend these!

Vitacost order

I love to try new things and this time I wanted to try some new foods. I love online shopping and other countries have so much more fun stuff than the supermarkets where I live.

I ordered from vitacost.com. A health store with so many great products, food, skin care, hair care and vitamins.

I think ordinary pasta with wheat is boring and has no nutrients. So I found these fun alternatives. Quinoa pasta, Buckwheat pasta, Sweet potato and Buckwheat noodles, Quinoa spaghetti, Buckwheat ramen noodles and hemp seeds. It's all organic, which I do not mind at all! All of it is gluten free for those who have to avoid that.
Hopefully it will taste good and spice up my food life, haha.

Review Goldwell Straight Sleek Perfection Thermal Spray Serum

I have long thin hair that easily gets tangled. which is unfortunate since I am very I hair sore (no idea what to call it in english). I often have my hair in a braid to avoid tangles, but it is nice to have other hair styles. Luckily I have found a hair product that actually works! It is called Goldwell Straight Sleek Perfection Thermal Spray Serum. It is mostly made for protecting when straitening your hair, but I very rarely do that. But it works so well on making my hair soft and shiny, and so easy to brush.

The spray is very good, it manages to distribute the product evenly and not just one wet spot in the hair. The smell is also kind of nice, if you don't breathe in too much, haha.

I highly recommend this to anybody who wants soft manageable hair and thermal protection.

App recommandation

Since I am trying to find a skin care routine for my skin, I need to keep track of the progress. I randomly found this app where you take e picture of your face. Then you rate your skin from 1 to 5.
1  "Yikes"
2 "Seen worse"
3  Not to shabby
4 "Looking good"
5 "Awesome"

You can then compare all the days and look at pictures to see how the skin has changed for better or worse. I think this is great to see the progress and where the blemishes are coming up.

Review Exuviance Essential Daily Defense Creme SPF20 50g

After using Exuviance Essential Daily Defense Creme SPF 20  for over a month its time for a review.

After reading a lot a bout sunshine and skin I decided I should take more care. I read about this cream on Rolah Lønnings page hudbok.no. She recommends it for combination skin. So I though I give it a shot.

Like all other products I use it is not tested on animals (very important to me!). It is in a pump which I find great and more hygienic. It does leave a white film on the skin but it "dissolves" into the skin after a minute or two. It is quite thin but not runny and easy to spread.

The problem I have is that I feel like it makes me slightly oily on the forehead. And after using it for about 3 weeks I god really bad cracked skin around the nose. I must admit I am not 100% sure if it is this creme that does it or not, but I have nothing else to blame for it. This could be because I should have used a serum under but did not do that every day. So I would guess this is great for oily/normal skin and not difficult combination skin with oily and dry/dehydrated skin. Another problems is some stinging when I put it on, does not last for long but I don't think products should feel like that. I am guessing this is the glycolic acid in it.

My conclusion is that it is a good day cream when used with a serum underneath and maybe some make up if you feel it makes your skin too white.

Review: Marina miracle acne fight serum

I have been trying the Marina miracle acne fight serum for a month now and though I could give it a review.

I have been using different oils for a while now but I am still not pleased with my skin. So instead of mixing my own I though I try a ready made one with good ingredients and focusing on acne. Although I do not have lots of spots I want something that could keep them away.

Ingredients:
Simmondsia Chinensis Oil*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil*, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water*, Angelica ArchangelicaZingiber Officinale, Elettaria Cardamomum, Curcuma Zedoaria, Cinnamonum Camphora, Gentiana Lutea, Fraxinus Ornus, Crocus Sativus, Melaleuca Alternifolia Essential OilCitrus Medica Limonum Essential Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Essential oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Essential oil, Tocopherol*

*Organic

Even though it is a oil it feels really good on the skin. It gives moisture without being to much for my oily t-zone. I have been mainly using it at night since I am worried about some of the essential oils and sunlight. When I wake up my skin looks calmer and toned. But my skin normally is like this in the morning with other products I tried so I am not convinced. It is nice but nothing more and I guess it doesn't really help that much on acne. But I will continue to use it since it does not seem to be doing any damage. I have read that some people can get clogged pores from jojoba oil while others love it.
